Overview Master Classes & Workshops

During the Kickoff each participant will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of master classes. At the Kickoff, tickets will be distributed to each team, allowing you to select the sessions that best suit your interests and professional development needs.

Strategic Design	A good strategy is THE most important thing for a successful season. After this workshop you will have the tools to use your team’s capabilities to it’s full
Intro to FTC	New to FTC? This workshop will explain what to expect during an FTC season, including the do’s and don’ts at events. It also provides a general overview of the steps your team needs to take to prepare for qualifiers and the championship.
Coach Training & FIRST® registration	Get tips and tricks for coaching a (new) team for the upcoming season, and we’ll assist you with the correct registration process with FIRST.
Judging	What should a team prepare for when presenting themselves for the judges. Discover the secrets to getting nominated for an award in this exciting masterclass.
Programming	Programming a robot from scratch. You will get an explanation on how to program a robot from scratch in both Java and Blocks for both teleoperation (teleop) and autonomous modes.
Introduction to SOLIDWORKS xDesign	In this workshop, you kan try the power of 3D modeling on any hardware with SOLIDWORKS xDesign via the browser. Also learn how collaboration in the cloud can accelerate your design process with 3DEXPERIENCE.
Project-based planning (1st rount only)	During this workshop, you will learn how to set goals, prioritize them, plan, and maintain an overview. Additionally, you will receive tips on how to conduct efficient meetings and design a planning board.

12-10-2024 Start-up Meeting Eindhoven

Ready to kick off your robot-building journey? Join us for the Start-up event at Summa Engineering College in Eindhoven!

Date: Saturday, October 12, 2024
Times: 10:00 – 15.00 (Doors open from 9:30)
Address: Summa Engineering College, Het Eeuwsel 2, Eindhoven

All teams are invited to come together for a collaborative and hands-on experience. You’ll have the chance to work on your robots with support from other teams and highly experienced FTC volunteers.

Make the most of the Makerspace at Summa College, where you can utilize a wide range of equipment under the supervision of a Summa Engineering teacher. Additionally, 3D printers will be available for all participants.

As a special feature, this year’s event will feature a masterclass on SolidWorks, just like last year.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills and collaborate with fellow teams! This event is highly recommended for rookie teams, providing an excellent opportunity to jump-start your robotics journey.
