The foundation aims to inspire young people to become enthusiastic about science and technology by organizing educational activities and events that, in addition to technical content, are appealing and attractive to young people. We do this by transforming our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders.

STEAMup is a dynamic and passionate organization deeply rooted in the FIRST community. We are driving by a shared commitment to Gracious Professionalism® and Coopertition®, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for learning and innovation.

Our vision

We strive for a world in which science and technology are not only seen as fields of study but as essential building blocks for progress, creativity, and collaboration. In that world, young people are not shaped to be spectators of technological development but to become makers, thinkers, and innovators who take responsibility for their surroundings.
STEAMup aims to play a leading role in this by making technical education tangible, relevant, and inclusive. With us, young people learn not only how technology works, but more importantly, why it matters and how they can use it to build a sustainable and just future.

ANBI

Will you support our mission and help make FIRST Tech Challenge available to every student?

STEAMup has been an Institution for Public Welfare (Algemeen Nut Beoogende Instelling – ANBI) since 2019. This status is granted by the tax authorities when an organization is at least 90% committed to the public benefit.

The ANBI status has a number of tax benefits. We do not have to pay any tax on donations received. This allows us to use 100% of the donated money for our intended purposes. It also brings tax benefits for donators. This applies to both individual and periodical donations. Donators to an ANBI may, under certain conditions, deduct their donations from income or corporate income tax.
